Hana Shafique is a sophomore Wells Scholar from Carmel, Indiana. She is majoring in
Neuroscience and Biology with minors in Healthcare Management and Policy and French. She was
previously part of the IUSG Freshman Internship Program which sparked her passion for
student health. Some of her visions for this year include improving health system literacy
among students and expanding diversity within existing student health organizations. Devoted
to bettering the lives of IU students, Hana is also on the OVPUE Student Advisory Board where
she researches and discusses various student-initiated projects. Additionally, she is greatly
involved with Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity, TEDxIndianaUniversity, and
the IU Journal of Undergraduate Research.
