IUSG is funded by the Mandatory Student Activity Fee, which is reviewed every two years by the Committee for Fee Review. Our newly approved budget of $281,059.19 is allocated to key student support areas, including Safer Sex Express Donations, Crimson Cupboard, EZPZ, the Laptop Loaner Program, and the Office of Student Life Emergency Fund. These programs help enhance student health, well-being, and financial security by providing resources like safe sex supplies, affordable testing, food, school materials, and emergency financial assistance.
This budget also prioritizes ongoing support for multicultural centers, allocating $32,000 to ensure each center receives $2,000 per semester. New initiatives receiving funding include $10,000 for Crimson Closet, offering free professional clothing rentals; $10,000 for the Maker Space, a free resource for student organizations; and $5,000 for the Textbook and Test Prep Library, providing free textbook rentals to students in need.
Our budget breakdown represents our commitment to investing in programs that directly benefit the student body and improve the campus experience."
