The Indiana University Student Government (IUSG) Congress elected its Congressional Officers for the Spring 2021 session last night at the first General Assembly Meeting of the semester.
Mr. Alfonso Soto III, a Representative for the College of Arts and Sciences and former Recorder, is the new Speaker of IUSG Congress. Mr. EJ Wiggins, a Representative for Off-Campus Housing and former Chair of the Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, is the new Parliamentarian. Ms. Kaitlin Scott, a Representative for the College of Arts and Sciences and former Chair of the Committee on Title IX, is the new Press Secretary. Mr. Jack Milton, a Representative for the Southeast Neighborhood, former Chair of the Subcommittee on Rules, Bylaws, and Constitutional Amendments and former Vice Chair of the Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, is the new Recorder.
All of the new officers held their former positions in the Fall 2o2o session. Mr. Romael Khan, the Congressional Secretary for the Fall 2020 session, remains in his position to liaise between the Congress and the Executive Branch.
