The IUSG Supreme Court works on behalf of students to keep elections honest, represent the student voice on university committees, and hear cases from the university judicial system.
The Supreme Court is the judicial branch of the Indiana University Student Government and is composed of 10 associate justices and one chief justice.
Pursuant to Article IV, Section II of the IUSG Constitution, “The judicial authority of IUSG will include the power of judicial review, adjudicating elections disputes, certifying elections results, and fulfilling the requirements of the university judicial process.”
Additional duties of Supreme Court justices that are not specifically outlined in the IUSG Constitution include serving as student representatives on campus committees and hosting an annual judicial conference.
This is a 1-3 hour time commitment each week.
