My name is Agness Shekinah Lungu and I am a sophomore studying Intelligent Systems Engineering with Minors in Mathematics and Journalism. My home town is Lusaka, Zambia and a fun fact about me is that I speak 4 languages and I have lived in 3 countries. I also love singing and dancing even though I have been told I cannot sing but we don't let the haters prevail lol
I am part of the Indiana Daily Student under the Black Voices desk, I serve as an Ambassador for the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering and I am a mentor for a program called FASE on campus. I joined IUSG because I think I saw a need for more inclusive policies especially for international students and I believe in being a leader that listens. I plan to remove the foreign language requirement for international students who already speak other languages from their home countries and make sure all students and staff take anti-bias and bystander intervention training when coming to IU.
