Separating Congressional and Executive Elections
In the spring of 2018, the Congressional and Executive branch worked together to pass a Resolution to separate the two branches’ elections. The goal of this move is to threefold: to promote more fair elections, to improve accountability and commitment of Congress, and to include freshmen and transfer students in the legislative branch.
Resources Link on Canvas
The ‘17-’18 Health and Wellbeing Committee worked with the Division of Student Affairs and UITS to add a link on Canvas to various student resources offered on campus. The committee saw that some students don’t know about all the great resources that IU provides for students and successfully worked to bring information to where students check daily. See “IU Support Services” under the “Help” tab on Canvas.
Free Menstrual Products
The ‘17-’18 Executive administration worked with IU Facilities to increase access to menstrual products on campus. Former Vice President of Administration Molly Connor spearheaded the initiative, which successfully culminated in free menstrual products in every female and gender neutral restroom on campus.
